Abstract
1499950 Gas turbine combustion chamber CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 25 June 1976 [25 Aug 1975] 26631/76 Heading F1L Air dilution holes in the flame tube of a gas turbine combustion chamber are formed in four sizes, namely, first upstream holes 26, second downstream holes 28, third intermediate holes 30, and fourth holes 32 with three holes 32 centered about each hole 30, the third holes being arranged at the position of maximum chamber temperature. The flame tube may be of ceramic material, e.g. silicon carbide or silicon nitride.
