Abstract

1499545 Knitting machines WIRKMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARX-STADT VEB 1 May 1975 [10 May 1974] 18165/75 Heading D1C A circulating-carriage flat knitting machine is provided with thread changing means for each carriage, such means comprising thread guides 9 and associated clamps 10 rigidly mounted on a shaft 6 which is journalled in bearings 3, 4 so as to bring the guide and clamps individually into operative position. The shaft 6 is rotated by a gear 22 meshing with a transmission 19, 20, 21 connected to a drive member 17 and is locked in position by a lever 23 meshing with a ring 7 under the action of a drive member 18, the two drive members being actuated by cams of a control device of the machine. The shaft 6 is releasable from bearing 4 and is pivotable about an axis 12 to facilitate setting up. The bearing 3 may be detached with the shaft from the carriage.
