Abstract

1495354 Hook fastenings SCOVILL MFG CO 7 April 1975 [17 June 1974] 14189/75 Heading E2A A hook fastening comprises a pair of identical hooks, each having a tongue 16, Fig. 4, a recess 18, integral pins 24 and a rib 20. Each hook 10 or 10' is attached to a piece of fabric by forcing the pins 24 through the fabric and into holes 28, Fig. 5, provided in an anchor plate 12, the pins then being coldheaded to retain them in the holes 28. In use two pieces of fabric are fastened together by moving the hook 10' from the position shown in Fig. 2 to the position shown in Fig. 3, the ribs 20 providing a snapping action to effect fastening.
