Abstract
1495081 Pick-up arm control ELECTROACUSTIC GmbH 10 March 1975 [13 March 1974] 9924/75 Heading G5R In a pick-up arm control system for a record player in which the arm 3 is raised and lowered by rod 6 when actuated by an operating lever 11 which is pivotable at 13 for vertical movement and at 12 for horizontal movement, a record size arm 10 is secured to the rod 6 and carries a stop 9 which in the raised position of the rod and pickup arm acts to stop horizontal pivoting of the pick-up over the start groove of a record by engaging arm 5 as this pivots with the pick-up arm. The position of the record size arm and hence stop 9 is set by member 18 which is activated by a record size control. Horizontal pivoting movement is imparted to the pick-up arm by horizontal movement of the operating lever 11 when plunger 16 has engaged the underside of pivot arm 5 after the lever has been vertically pivoted to raise the pick-up arm. When the pick-up arm is lowered the rod 6 carries the stop 9 to a position below arm 5 so that the pick-up arm is free to play the record.
