Abstract

1494960 Endless belt conveyers C W WARD 29 April 1975 [7 May 1974] 20149/74 Heading B8A A support mechanism for an endless belt conveyer comprises a pair of support brackets 10 (only one illustrated) spaced longitudinally of the belt and secured adjustably to respective mounting brackets 12, and a carrier assembly 14 with a plurality of rollers 16 mounted on cantilever shafts 22 projecting from a member 24 extending between mountings 26 pivoted at 18 on the support brackets 10 with screw-threaded adjustments 20 for varying the degree of troughing of the belt. Further pivotal adjustment can be obtained by adjusting the support brackets 10 relative to the mounting brackets 12 utilizing slots 32, 34, bolts 36, 38 and a set screw 42. In addition the rollers 16 can be adjusted towards or away from the centre-line of the belt by bodily movement of member 24 after slackening bolts (not shown) and utilizing rods 28.
