Abstract

1489629 Loudspeaker housings T KUHL 11 Nov 1974 48654/75 Heading H4J A loudspeaker housing kit includes a cubic frame 1 with an opening 2 in each face to receive a closure panel, and a set of closure panels including a loudspeaker mounting panel 5, a terminal panel 4 and a coupling panel 6 adapted 13 to receive a coupling element enabling similar housings to be coupled together. The panels are screwed 7 to the frame and the coupling elements are sleeves clamped 14 in apertures 13 in the coupling panels 6 and releasable from the terminal panel 4. Additional panels, intended to be attached to a separate housing coupled to that containing the drive loudspeaker, include bass-reflex devices such as perforated plates, resonators, non - energized diaphragms and horns; or rotary sound distribution devices. Carrying handles and castors may be attached to the coupling panels, and loudspeaker "trees" may be assembled using frames simply as couplings.
