Abstract

1489156 Detergent bars UNILEVER Ltd 21 June 1976 [23 June 1975] 26629/75 Heading C5D Superfatted detergent bars comprise (a) a non-soap detergent in an amount of at least 10% by weight of the total active detergent and (b) a clathrate of urea and a free fatty acid, wherein the amount of urea and free fatty acid present are less than 25% and not more than 50%, respectively, by weight of the total active detergent, urea and free fatty acid. The non- soap detergent may be a fatty acyl isethionate, sodium dodecylbenzene sulphonate, an alkane sulphonate, an α-olefine sulphonate, disodium hardened tallow fatty acid sulphonate or sodium alkyl sulphate. The bars may also contain soap, fatty alcohols, titanium dioxide perfume and colour. The lathering capacity of the bars is improved by the presence of the clathrate.
