Abstract

1478648 Releasable fastenings T M GOSSAGE 4 Sept 1974 38680/74 Heading E2B A releasable connector, which may be used for pivotally mounting the vertical mast 11 of a gin-pole derrick, comprises a pair of upstanding supports 13, 14 traversed by a threaded bolt 15 which is rendered captive, to prevent loss, by fixed heads 16, 17, and having a sliding sleeve 20 which may be locked by nut 19 in the position shown to secure the mast at enlarged slot 25, or released to allow the mast to clear the bolt at slotsides 27. The nut 19 may be replaced by a cotter pin.
