Abstract
1478108 Oxazolidones NIPPON CHEMIPHAR CO Ltd 30 Oct 1975 45035/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the formula where R is fluorine, trifluoromethyl, phenoxy, phenyl, benzyloxy, hydroxy, acyloxy or allyloxy. The compounds wherein R is fluorine, trifluoromethyl, phenoxy, phenyl or benzyloxy may be prepared by reacting an appropriate substituted allylbenzene oxide with a carbonic acid ester. Compounds wherein R is hydroxy may be prepared by debenzylating the compounds wherein R is benzyloxy. Compounds wherein R is acyloxy or allyloxy may be prepared by reacting compounds wherein R is hydroxy with an acyl halide or allyl halide. The compounds exhibit antiinflammatory, analgesic and muscle relaxing action.
