Abstract
1476991 Stabilized pigment mixtures PRODUIT CHIMIQUES UGINE KUHLMANN 22 May 1974 [22 May 1973] 22805/74 Addition to 1373926 Heading C4P Stabilized pigment mixtures comprise a compotmd of the general formula wherein Pc is a phthalocyanine residue, X is an oxygen or sulphur atom, A is an aryl radical optionally substituted by at least one C 1 -C 6 alkyl group and n is a whole number from 1 to 8, and a copper phthalocyanine of epsilon, gamma, delta or R form or a chlorinated derivative thereof containing up to 4% chlorine. Preferably the mixtures contain 1-20% by weight of the first component based on the total weight of the mixture. The mixtures are prepared by mixing the components in aqueous or organic suspension, hot or cold, or by kneading. The mixtures are stable to organic solvents and are used in paints, lacquers, inks and plastics. Example 6 describes the preparation of a delta form phthalolyanine.
