Abstract
1475004 Vapour disseminator PERMTEK INC 11 Oct 1974 [2 Nov 1973] 44260/74 Heading ASG A device from which the vapour of a volatile liquid is disseminated into the air comprises an outer casing 13 having an inner transverse wall 17 vented at 83 and 85. An inner container 35 is held in sealing engagement with wall 17, e.g. by spring loading and contains a volatile liquid contained within a sealed package permeable to the vapour thereof. The liquid may, for example, be dispersed on a spirally wound porous element 63 within the package which is supported so that air may circulate about it. Associated with the vents 83 and 85 is a circular shutter 91, rotatably mounted and movable by means of a grip 131 outside the casing, having openings 105 and 123 which may thus be moved in and out of registration with vents 83 and 85. At the same time, an electric motor 49 actuating an impeller fan 153 is switched on by means of a projection 99 on the shutter operating switch 241. This draws air through the container via the tube 111 and the outlet 85 into the passage 165 where it mixes with further air before leaving the device.
