Abstract

1472614 Warp-knitted stringer tapes YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 2 Oct 1974 [24 Oct 1973] 42741/74 Heading D1K A warp-knitted stringer tape comprises a web portion 11 of which at least the part adjacent the marginal edge portion 12 comprises back to back wales of chain stitches 13 with two groups of laid-in lapping threads 14a, 14b whose lapping points are disposed alternatively in successive courses and whose marginal edge comprises tricot stitches 15a, 15b and is bulky and strong to receive fastener elements F astride it. The chains have alternately open and closed laps 13b and 13a. The tricot edge portion 15a, 15b encloses a core 16. Tapes may be knitted side by side connected by readily soluble thread 17.
