Abstract

1469820 Multi-storey buildings A H MILH 24 April 1974 [9 May 1973] 18016/74 Heading E1A In a multi-storey building having a central load-bearing framework providing access to the different levels and containing service facilities, the central framework comprises two distinct cores 8, 9 of rectangular cross-section separated by a transverse passage 16. Each core is provided with lifts 19, fire doors 32, a central passage 22 and a transverse inner partition 15. One core is additionally provided with a stairway 23, 24, smoke-clearing lockchambers 26, 27 whilst the other core has a goods lift 31, sanitary premises 28 and premises 29 for the reception of service pipes. The four corner support pillars 2 also serve for the passage of service pipes for details of which and numerous minor details the Specification and remaining drawings, (not shown), should be referred to.
