Abstract

1469655 Steel powder INCO EUROPE Ltd 13 March 1974 [29 March 1973] 11180/74 Heading C7A A steel powder composition comprises:- the balance, apart from impurities such as up to 0À5% Cr, up to 0À04% P and up to 0À04% S, being Fe; the amounts of alloying elements being so correlated that a steel body produced from the powder has a ferritic microstructure. The powder may be consolidated by hot forging at no more than 840‹C. The forging may be in the form of connecting rods, gearing or pinions.
