Abstract

1468764 Multi-hulled vessels; decks A S C HART 5 Aug 1975 [30 Aug 1974 38104/74 Headings B7A and B7S In a multi-hulled vessel, each hull assembly 1 comprises a plurality of spaced buoyancy units 1a, 1b located one above the other, at least one unit being submerged and at least one being above the waterline, a deck 3 being located above and spaced from the uppermost buoyancy unit 1a. The buoyancy units are spaced apart by compartments 7, and the upper units are linked together by tubular bridging members 2. In other embodiments, there are shown three hull assemblies, and hull assemblies having three buoyancy units, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown). A portion (3a<SP>111</SP>) of the deck 3 may be raised relative to the remainder by means of hydraulic rams, Fig. 8 (not shown).
