Abstract

1467910 Registering apparatus SVECIA SILKSCREEN MASKINER AB 25 July 1974 [13 Aug 1973] 32975/74 Heading B8R A sheet 1 is registered on a cylinder 4 of a printing machine by abutments 3 which cause displacement of the leading edge 1a of the sheet (as the cylinder rotates) from a pre-register to a register position. The leading edge of the sheet is brought to the pre-register position against stops 2 and is held against the cylinder by holding-down means 5. The abutments 3 move the the holding-down means and the leading edge of the sheet into the register position where it is clamped by grippers (6, Fig. 4, not shown). Both the holding-down means 5 and the stops 2 may be carried on a bar 8<SP>1</SP> which is rotated to remove the stops and the means 5 when the sheet is clamped. The cylinder 4 may then be rotated in the reverse direction (b, Fig. 4, not shown) to effect printing.
