Abstract

1465382 Controlling air cushion vehicles QUANTUM HOVERCRAFT Ltd 19 May 1975 [3 July 1974] 29493/74 Heading B7K An air cushion vehicle similar to that disclosed in Specification 1,343,600 has one or more ground-engaging wheels 11 mounted for free rotation on a pivot 12 carried by an arm 13 capable of vertical pivoting about a pivot 15 against the action of a compression spring 23. The spring support 26 and the pivot 15 are carried by a bracket 16 mounted for rotation about a shaft 18 mounted fore-and-aft of the vehicle structure. The wheel(s) may be retracted and an actuator may be provided to rock the vehicle about shaft 18 during a turn.
