1320497 Adjusting loads on axles; raising axles to an inoperative position DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd 5 Aug 1970 [7 Aug 1969] 39513/69 Addition to 1219911 Heading B7D In a vehicle suspension comprising in accordance with the main patent, a trailing link 7 pivotally connected to an axle 5, and a rubber anti-roll spring 15 for resisting pivoting of the link relative to the axle, a pneumatic spring 2 arranged to act between the axle 5 and the vehicle frame may be deflated to vary to load carried by the axle 5, and a pneumatic actuator 12 arranged to act on a forward extension of the link 7 is inflatable to raise the axle so that the wheels 6 are clear of the ground. The axle 5 is arranged in tandem in front of the rear axle of a vehicle.
