Abstract

1462623 Vacuum casting CLEAREX PLASTICS Ltd 9 May 1976 [20 Feb 1973] 8208/73 Heading B5A A method of producing a vacuum moulded product, e.g. a part of a caravan, comprises placing a core 12 of foamed synthetic resin together with a mat 13 in a mould, closing the mould and thereafter applying suction at a port 14 and allowing a settable material into the mould via a port 15. The mat 13 can be formed from a continuous filament, woven or chopped glass fibres or woven textile or wire mesh. The settable material can be a polyester or epoxy resin. A tissue can be applied to the surface of the mat.
