Abstract
1460320 Glass composition OWENSILLINOIS Inc 2 Oct 1975 [3 Oct 1974] 40234/75 Heading C1M A glass composition comprises in mole per cent; Na 2 O 5-25; Ta 2 O 5 1-10; SiO 2 60-82 and Al 2 O 3 0-20 and has a ratio Ta 2 O 5 + Al 2 O 3 / Na 2 O of 0À2 or above. The glass may be used to make the membrane of a glass electrode for selectively measuring Na<SP>+</SP> ions in the presence of other cations. Up to 3 mole per cent of oxides of Ca, Ba and rare earth metals may be included in the glass.
