Abstract
1459478 Refuse vehicle J OCHSNER & CIE AG 26 June 1974 [26 June 1973] 28372/74 Heading B8E The loading hopper 4 of a refuse vehicle 3 has a curved bottom 6 bounded by side plates 5 and a curved chute 7 at the rear. Refuse 28, Fig. 11 introduced over a loading edge 10 is raised by a pusher 9 actuated by rams 24 to a position 28 2 , Fig. 2, from where it is pushed into the bin 2 by a plate 33 actuated by rams 37. A front roof part 15 of the pusher 9 has pivoted to its rear end at 16 a rear roof part 17 in turn pivoted at 18 to guide levers 19 pivoted at 20 to the rear of the chute 7. As the pusher rises to its Fig. 2 position the rear roof part 17 unfolds about its pivots 16, 18 guided by the levers 19 to the position in which it forms a continuation of the front part 15. A sealing strip 30 prevents refuse 28 1 , Fig. 2, getting behind the chute 7. The arrangement of a two part roof 15, 17 allows there to be a lighter construction.
