Abstract

1458119 Seat belt mounting BRITISH LEYLAND UK Ltd 4 June 1975 [4 June 1974] 24609/74 Heading A3V A seat belt 11 is attached via an inertia reel 12 to a cranked bracket 13 which will distort under abnormal load. The bracket is perforated by slots 17 so that at greater loads the bracket is torn from the vehicle structure and the load transmitted via tear webbing 19 to a second mounting bracket 23.
