Abstract
The alloy consists of 4 to 7% by weight of Mg, 0.5 to 2.0% by weight of Zn, 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of Cr and/or 0.1 to 0.6% by weight of Mn and/or 0.05 to 0.25% by weight of Ti and/or 0.05 to 0.25% by weight of Zr and less than 0.5% by weight of impurities, the remainder being Al. It shows outstanding corrosion resistance.
