Abstract

1458154 Boiler jackets IDEAL STANDARD Ltd 8 April 1975 [11 April 1974] 14436/75 Heading F4A In a boiler and jacket assembly, the boiler 3 is provided with two curved end sections 1 and 2 between which extends a plurality of tie rods 4, 5, the jacket being formed of at least two resilient metal sheets 8, 9 which in a relaxed position are generally flat and may be curved with a radius of curvature greater than that of the curved bearing surfaces of the end sections, the sheets 8, 9 having hooked folds 10, 12 and 11, 13 whereby the sheets may be attached to the tie rods. Spring clips 15 may be used between the edges 12, 13 and the tie rods 5 as shown in Fig. 5.
