1452263 Removing dental plaque and/or dead tissue NATIONAL PATENT DEVELOPMENT CORP 19 Oct 1973 [20 July 1972 (6)] 33925/72 33926/72 33927/72 33928/72 33936/72 and 33937/72 Heading A5B [Also in Divisions C2 and C3] Dental plaque and/or dead tissue is removed by applying thereto an aqueous solution containing an N, N-dichloro substituted aminoacid of formula where R is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may be interrupted by ether or thioether linkages and may be substituted by carboxyl, hydroxyl, cycloaliphatic, aryl or aralkyl groups. The solution may also contain salt and an effervescent agent. The effective action of the solution may be terminated by adding a reducing agent.
