Abstract

1402282 Skin-care gel P E WARD 4 Dec 1973 [7 Sept 1972] 41469/72 Heading A5B A quick-drying aqueous gel composition for the care and regeneration of skin tissues comprises glycerol (typically 26-29% by weight) and from 1.6 to 2.0% by weight of a canbohydrate gum gelling agent, e.g. gum tragacanth, the pH of the composition being in the range pH3 to pH5. Benzoic acid and other preservatives and a scent, e.g. O1. Bergamot may also be present. A preferred method of preparing the composition is described.
