Abstract

1450503 Watches OMEGA LOUIS BRANDT & FRERE SA 9 Sept 1974 [2 Oct 1973] 39191/74 Heading G3T [Also in Divisions G4-G6] In an electric watch or other instrument having a compartment to contain an energy cell and which is sealed by a cover 1, in order to indicate the date when the cell must be replaced, the cover carries at least one series of fixed marks or symbols and a movable member which can be set to indicate one of the marks or symbols. As shown the cover has a groove 8 in which rings 4, 5 are inserted and held by their own resilience; to facilitate insertion the rings have holes 12 or 13 for engagement by a tool. The rings are manually rotatable and each has a gap to disclose one of a corresponding series of numerals on a metal or plastics ring 9 in the base of the groove, thus indicating a month and year for cell replacement. The cell type number is displayed centrally. In an alternative embodiment, the rings 4, 5 carry index marks which co-operate with scales located respectively around and within the rings Fig. 3 (not shown).
