Abstract
1371961 Timepiece dials SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 6 June 1972 [9 June 1971 9 July 1971] 26336/72 Heading G3T A dial 11 carries photo-electric means in the form of solar cells 12, 14 and has a window 13 through which a calendar or time display may be viewed. The solar cells are wired in series, the cell 14 having the same area as each cell 12 so that it does not limit the current. Two cells (22',) Fig.7 (not shown) of reduced area may alternatively be wired in parallel, or a single such cell (32',) Fig.9 (not shown) may be left out of the series circuit. The cells may be rectangular and/or may cover a part of the dial only. The window may contain an hours and minutes display Fig.2 (not shown) for use with a conventional seconds hand, and the use of more than one window is envisaged. Hour indicia (9,) Fig.1 (not shown) may be provided between sector-shaped cells.
