Abstract

1450322 Strap fastenings BAMBI INCORPORATION Ltd 27 Feb 1974 8841/74 Heading E2A A folding buckle for a wrist watch band includes a cover plate 4 hinged to a link plate 7 which is hinged to a base plate 2 having side walls 15, 15' pivotably, supporting a retaining plate 5. In the closed position of the buckle, a tab 11 on the plate 4 engages a bushing 6 on the plate 7, the latter engages by means of detents 12, 12' thereof with projections 14, 14' on the walls 15, 15' and a lug 9 on the plate 5 engages in an aperture 10 of the plate 7. The plate 2 may have projections 18, 18' which engage in aligned slots 19, 19' in the band, and a notch 16 for reception of an abutment 17 on the band. The free end of the band is retained between the base plate 2 and the plate 5 under pressure of the bushing 6.
