Abstract

1449939 Seat belt adjustment KLIPPAN GmbH 26 March 1974 [11 May 1973] 13415/74 Heading A3V [Also in Division E2] A belt-length adjusting device comprises an apertured frame 1 and a thrust member 9 and carried by a locking cap with a semicircular web 17 displaceable along the frame. The cap is guided by jaws. A loop of belt 4, 5 encircles the web and member 9 and is caught in a slot 14 if the belt is tightened excessively. The frictional grip of the device can be released to lengthen the belt by raising part 16; it is shortened merely by pulling belt portion 5.
