144,896. Ropeways, Ltd., Roe, J. P., and Shields, H. F. H. July 14, 1919. Rope railways; travelling ropeway conveyers.- Relates to depression sheaves and box-head guides of the kind described in Specification 134,255, and consists in a guide J which may be pivoted at K on its support Band carries a depression sheave D<1>, D<2> on either side of the fulcrum K, or may have antifriction rollers or chains N for engagement with a non-rotatable steadying-piece F<6> on a box-head F<0> having off-set shunting-wheels F' on one side only. The sheaves may be at equal or unequal distances from the pivot K, and are spaced. apart further than the length of the box-head. The guide J may have a central depression of greater depth than that of the boxhead. The curved guide-rail J<4> engaged by the part F<6> may have staggered rollers, or a roller chain guided by sprockets M, the wheels F<1> engaging a guide-rail J<3>.
