Abstract

1446424 Moulding containers and lids TUP (PANAMA) SA 19 July 1973 [28 July 1972] 35338/72 Heading B5A [Also in Divisions B8 and F4] A container 1 and lid 2 are formed from polymeric material and either the lid or the container, or both, can be formed with uniformly spaced walls defining a closed air space, and either the container or lid can have a channel 3 into which the other part can fit to form a seal. The parts can be moulded by flattening an extruded tube T, by air jets 35, and forming by plug-assisted vacuum or blow moulding between opposed moulds 30, 31. If necessary compressed air can be passed to the interior of the flattened tube during moulding by a needle 34. The container and lid can be collapsible, Fig. 5b, not shown.
