Abstract

1441874 Flexible shafts KIENZLE APPARATE GmbH 10 July 1974 [21 July 1973] 30601/74 Heading F2U A device for preventing unauthorized disconnection of a flexible shaft comprises a bolt 18 provided with an opening 19 for passing through a seal wire 23, the bolt being used to connect two halves of a coupling 2, 12 arranged on the housing 1 of a measuring or counting instrument and on the flexible shaft 6 respectively. The coupling half 12 may be mounted on the sleeve 8 of the flexible shaft by a spring 15 which is compressed as the coupling half makes a bayonet connection with coupling half 2. When the coupling is made the bolt 18 can be slid through the bayonet connection and aligned with eyes 22 on the coupling half. If desired, the bolt may be provided with two shanks or arranged to embrace the coupling with noses or pins engaging in the bayonet connection.
