Abstract

1441370 Heat fixing XEROX CORP 10 June 1974 [11 June 1973] 25729/74 Heading G2H Silicone oil 51 is continuously applied to the heated roll 16 of a toner image fusing apparatus by a permeable pad 62 the working surface of which is made of silicone rubber. The pad 62 may be formed of silicone rubber sponge, may have an embossed or rippled surface and may be reinforced internally with a fibre layer. The silicone rubber may overlie a layer of other heat stable oil permeable material.
