Abstract
1440071 Gas burners NU-WAY HEATING PLANTS Ltd 25 June 1973 [1 June 1972] 25630/72 Heading F4T A gas burner comprises a body 12 having a gas inlet for connection to a gas, e.g. natural gas, liquid petroleum gas or a mixture of fuel gas with air or an inert gas, supply pipe 11 within a draught tube 10, an annular flame stabilizing baffle 13 mounted on and surrounding the body 1, the body 1 having a plurality of first gas outlets 14 adjacent a side of baffle 13 remote from said gas inlet and a plurality of second gas outlets in the form of ducts or tubes 16 extending outwardly from the body 12 adjacent a side of baffle 13 which is adjacent said gas inlet, and said duets or tubes 16 terminating in outlets adjacent the periphery of the baffle. The baffle 13 may be perforated and have a planar shape, or it may have a frustoconical or a cupped shape with the concave side facing downstream or facing upstream with the periphery touching the outlet ends of tubes 16. The body 12 may be formed as a first part carrying said tubes and a second part having said first gas outlets, whereby the position of the first gas outlets relative to the baffle 13 may be adjusted during burner assembly, Fig. 3 (not shown).
