Abstract
1339943 Electron beam apparatus EMIL HAEFELY & CIE AG 20 May 1971 [21 May 1970] 15960/71 Heading H1D An electron accelerator comprises an accelerator tube having a plurality of accelerator electrodes 12.1, 12.2 ... 12.n; an electron injection system 1 including a cathode 2 control electrode 3, anode 4, 15 and means 14 for electromagnetically controlling the beam and connected in series a potentiometer 7, resistive means 6.3, 6.4 ... 6.8 and a resistor 6.2 and a variable resistor 6.1. The means 14 comprise two pairs of crossed plates controlled by two double potentiometers 6.5 ... 6.8. A stabilizing resistor 13 is placed between the cathode and a a high voltage source 8. In another embodiment the means 14 comprise a magnetic lens.
