Abstract

1339467 Coccidiostatic p o u l t r y feed MERCK & CO Inc 25 Oct 1971 [2 Nov 1970] 49504/71 Heading A5B A solid coccidiostatic poultry feed contains 0.001-0.006% of nicarbazin of formula: and 0.0002-0.0015% of a guanidine compound of formula: wherein R 1 and R 5 are halogen, CF 3 or CN, R 2 and R 6 are H or halogen, R 3 , R 4 , R 7 and R 8 are H or C 1-4 alkyl and R 9 is H or C 1-4 alkanoyl or a salt thereof. The preferred guanidine compound is 1, 3-bis (p-chlorobenzylidene amino) guanidine. The active ingredients may be added as a premix comprising solid poultry feed, 2-10% of nicarbazin and 0.2-3% of the guanidine compound.
