Abstract

1339345 Liquid fuel fired space heaters; air heating stores SOC DE GESTION IMMOBILIERE ET MOBILIERE 19 April 1971 [21 Jan 1970] 20050/71 Headings F4W and F4S A liquid fuel fired heating appliance comprises a heat exchanger body 1 formed of two shells, 1a, 1b, Fig. 3, having a burner 5 mounted in a box 4 open at one end and with an outlet 7 at the top and extending through the body, and a lateral deflector 14 and rear deflector 15 so that some at least of the gases pass below the box 4 to the flue. The lateral deflector 14 has a hole 16 to allow some gases to pass direct to the flue. The heat exchanger body is mounted in a casing having a base 17 and a rear part 2 to which is hinged a two-part casing 3a, 3b. The body 1 has a sight glass in an access door 13 at the top, so that the burner may be viewed through air outlet louvres in the top front casing part. A fuel tank and control devices are mounted in the casing, shielded from the heat exchanger by a partition 18. The front casing may be a single part, rotatable about a vertical hinge.
