Abstract

1337594 Centre boards; inflatable craft METZELER AG 23 Dec 1970 [23 Dec 1969] 61050/70 Headings B7A and B7V An inflatable boat is provided with a centre board 13 guided in a flexible sleeve 18, and keelson tubes 9 located between the flexible outer skin 5 and boards 7, which tubes exert pressure on the centre board and keep it upright. Stays 15 may also be provided to support the upper end of sleeve 18. The invention can also be applied to a rigid boat (Fig. 5, not shown. With the centre board withdrawn and stays 15 detached, the sleeve can be rolled up and stowed under boards 7 to facilitate rowing should this be desired.
