Abstract

1336871 Amidinoureas WELLCOME FOUNDATION Ltd 23 Dee 1970 [2 Jan 1970] 323/70 Heading C2C Novel compounds of Formula I (in which R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> are halogen or CN, at least one being halogen, R is H, alkyl or aryl and A is H or aroyl) and acid addition salts thereof, are prepared by reacting a 3-R<SP>2</SP>-4-R<SP>1</SP>-phenylisocyanate with an appropriate guanidine. Amidinoureas of Formula II and acid addition salts thereof, are prepared by hydrolysing a compound of Formula I. 3 - R<SP>2</SP> - 4 - R<SP>1</SP> - Phenylisocyanates are prepared in situ from the corresponding azides.
