Abstract

1336274 Door with swing limiting means DAIMLER-BENZ AG 27 Jan 1972 [30 Jan 1971] 3897/72 Heading E2X A door 3, hinged to pillar 1 at hinge 2, has detents provided in several positions. A roller 7 is mounted in an arm 12 which is pivoted at 13 to a bracket 14 fixed to the door 3. A stirrup member 4 is pivoted at 9' to the door pillar 1 and has two tracks 5, 6 in the form of concentric arcs, circular about hinge 2. Track 5 is provided with several indentations 11 and roller 7 is resiliently urged against it by springs 18 whilst another roller 8 mounted on bracket 14 engages track 6. As the door is opened and rollers 7, 8 proceed along tracks 5, 6 respectively the door 3 is held in position whenever roller 5 enters an indentation 11 in track 5. Roller 7 engages a stop 19 at the end of track 5 when the door is fully opened.
