Abstract

1334714 Suspension preheaters VSESOJUZNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT TSEMENTNOGO MASHINOSTROENIA 26 May 1971 17307/71 Heading F4B A suspension preheater for cement raw materials being fed to a furnace comprises a multistage arrangement of cyclone heat exchangers, the first and third stages in the direction of furnace gas flow consisting of duplex cyclones 1, 2 and 13, 14 and the second and fourth stages consisting of single cyclones 9, 18, the cyclone 18 being of multi-stage construction. Bunkers 30, 31 feed the raw material to the preheater. The cyclone 18 includes an inner additional cyclone in the form of two frusto-cones (23, 24, Fig. 2) with the end of one inserted into the other and interconnected by vanes (25) to produce gas swirl.
