Abstract

1333743 Prefabricated room units ELCON AG 8 Jan 1971 [17 Jan 1970] 2398/70 Heading E1A In a structural unit comprising a floor panel 1 and a prefabricated load-bearing end structure 2, the members 1, 2 are interconnected by a set or hardened filling 9' disposed in the gaps therebetween and by tie-members 3 which protrude from the panel 1, through holes in the structure 2 to an anchorage 10, 11'. The members 3 are screwthreaded at both ends to receive nuts which bear against abutments 4, 4' and pass with clearance through aligned tubes such as 6 disposed in the members 1, 2. In a modification the members 3 are part-tensioned by means of jacks and secured by wedges or split collets, see Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown). For numerous minor modifications and details concerning mortors employed in the gap to-gether with a resistance-heating element to speed up its setting, method of assembly and jig therefor the remaining drawings (not shown) and the Specification should be referred to.
