Abstract

1332614 Fastener driving tools BUKAMA GmbH HANNOVER 22 Feb 1972 [9 March 1971] 8098/72 Heading B4C The reciprocable piston of a pneumatically actuated fastener driving tool comprises two semi-cylindrical parts 11, 12, which, when assembled, define a recess 22 which receives one end of a fastener driver 13. The driver 13 is secured by a pin 25. In operation actuation of trigger 4 causes valve 5 to open communication between air reservoir 3 and cylinder 7, and the piston and -driver are driven towards a buffer 18. During this working stroke air below the piston is forced into return chamber 30 and is supplemented by air from the reservoir leaking between the abutting faces of the piston. Releasing trigger will cause valve 5 to close passage 6 to reservoir 3 and to open that passage to atmosphere, and air in the return chamber will return the piston to its initial position in which it is held by a magnet 27.
