Abstract

1332142 Selective printing PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 16 Dec 1970 [19 Dec 1969] 59706/70 Heading B6F In a selective printer comprising a plurality of selectively actuatable styli 4 each operated by a corresponding electromagnet 1, the ends of the styli are guided between a fixed block 12 and a resiliently biased movable member 13. In the embodiment shown, the movable member 13 is urged about a pivot point 14 by a spring 15 towards the fixed block 12. In modifications, a movable member (33, Fig. 3) is slidable in guide channels (37) under bias by a spring (34), or the movable member may-comprise a resilient comb, plate or block (not shown).
