Abstract
1331719 Knitted fabrics; finishing fabric yarns FARBWERKE HOECHST AG 19 April 1971 [7 April 1970] 26445/71 Headings D1K D1S and D1W A fibre or filament yarn consisting of from 10 to 80% by weight of fibres and/or filaments of a copolyester of terephtholic acid, ethylene glycol and 2, 2-dimethyl propanediol-1, 3 and of 90 to 20% by weight of other fibres or filaments is heat treated at a temperature greater than 150‹C before or after knitting so that a bulky fabric results. Preferred weights of the copolyester are from 20 to 50%, desirably 30%. The other fibres/filaments are a polyester, polyacrylonitrile, a cellulose derivative, wool or cotton, or a mixture of these. Preferred treatment temperatures are 160‹C, 185‹C.
