Abstract

1331789 Desizing and dyeing F CONTI [trading as OMEZ OFFICINE MECCANICHE DI FULVIO CONTI] 7 Oct 1970 [9 Oct 1969] 47593/70 Heading D1L Desizing and dying of open-width fabrics is carried out simultaneously in a bath containing both a desizing solution and a dyeing solution which solutions are not incompatible. Apparatus for the process comprises a plurality of cloth expanding rollers 2, a tank 4 containing both solutions, a storage tank 6 in which the action of said solutions on the fabric takes place, and one or more washing stations 7. The storage tank 6 is also provided with lap forming means which may comprise a chute side wall and a lap forming roller 5 located near the chute side wall, as shown, or a floating lap forming member (11, Fig. 2, not shown) at the upper portion of the storage tank, the lower end of the tank being provided with a slot (13) through which the fabric is drawn out of the tank.
