Abstract
1331637 Dry stabilized sodium dithionite SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 26 Oct 1970 [29 Oct 1969] 50817/70 Heading C1A Non-hydrated sodium dithionite is stabilized by blending it with soda ash, sodium sulphite or sodium tripolyphosphate in the presence of an alcohol and in the absence of an organic acid or a salt thereof, and thereafter drying the mixture (e.g. at # 120‹ C.), The stabilizer is preferably used in an amount of 0À3 to 20% by weight based on the weight of product and may be blended in the form of a powder or an alcohol dispersion. The non-hydrated sodium dithionite used may be obtained by the zinc dust process, the formic acid process or the amalgam process.
