Abstract

1331227 Sampling particulate material IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 4 Dec 1970 [1 Dec 1969] 58601/69 Heading B8N Apparatus for sampling particulate material comprises an inclined duet 25 through which the material flows, a funnel 24 extending into an opening in the duct, and a shutter 23, preferably curved (as illustrated), movable between a position in which the shutter prevents a material sample passing into the funnel and a position in which an aperture 27 in the shutter coincides with the funnel to permit a material sample to pass into the funnel. The apparatus may include means whereby a sample is taken at preselected regular intervals, and the sampling period may be 2 seconds.
