Abstract

1331034 Elevated flooring J O HAGGLUND 27 March 1972 [25 March 1971] 14228/72 Heading E1W Elevated flooring comprises square panels 12 supported on pillars via carrier bars 11 of inverted U-section, each pillar having a flat head 10 carrying four guide ribs 14 over which the bars 11 are fitted, the bars being arranged in each row in pairs with each pair arranged substantially end-to-end, and separated from the next pair by the aligned ends of bars in an intersecting row. Locking washers 15 may be arranged between the carrier bar ends, or the webs of the bars may have turned up extensions 15a forming spacers. Two of the ribs may be only slightly spaced from each other at the centre of the head, as in Fig. 2, or all the ribs may be equally spaced, as in Fig. 5. The ribs 14 are of channel section, and the panels 12 have bevelled edges. The pillars are vertically adjustable. (For Figures see next page)
